Wise Auto & Truck Inc. is a niche company, that specializes in quality used cars, priced well below its competition to ensure maximum satisfaction and value out of any pre-owned vehicle sold. In other words, they have the “lowest prices” in town. Many of the vehicles have been purchased “Down South” or on the “West Coast” which means the suspension is in line and the cars have little to no rust on them, due to the lack of snow in those areas. The price range of the vehicles for sale are $1000 to $20,000 depending on your financial need and affordability. The dealership has also just partnered with Mid-Atlantic finance company and is also doing some creative “in-house” financing to try to qualify as many people as possible. Wise Auto is an equal credit opportunity organization that tries to ensure every customer is satisfied with their given automobile. Specialized financing is examined on a case by case basis and will depend on credit, job history and proof of income.
Owner – Dennis Wisniewski has always been tied to automobiles and the city of Warren. He was a Warren Mott H.S. graduate in 1977, but most of his schooling came by way of mentoring from people in the automotive industry. His auto experience started at age 14, when he started doing collision work and “bumping & painting” cars. At age 16, not only could he put together a car from start to finish, he learned to wholesale cars and trucks at B & B Auto Sales on 7 Mile Rd & Mound in the city of Detroit. In 1977, after graduating from Warren Mott, Dennis joined Cadillac Motor Co. and the U.A.W. as a Master Welder at it’s Detroit Production Facility. While working at Cadillac, he was also buying and selling vehicles as a side hobby. After 10 years with Cadillac Motor Co. and as a well respected U.A.W. leader, he decided it was time to start up his own company. At that point, he decided to leave General Motors/Cadillac Division and in 1989 Wise Auto & Truck Center was officially open for business.
Partner – Nick Wisniewski, like his dad, started in the car business at an early age. As soon as Nick was able to drive, he began transporting vehicles all over the state of Michigan and visiting many live auctions. His experience allowed him to get a grasp of the strategies in the used car business, specifically the wholesale market. After graduating from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s H.S. in 1999, Nick chose to continue his education in Business Administration at Oakland University and Western Michigan University. During his time at college, Nick would also wholesale vehicles and work side jobs to help pay for housing and campus life. Since leaving WMU, Nick chose to continue his employment with Wise Auto & Truck and has been a key contributor to it’s modern day success. Nick’s role at the dealership has been very large, as he tries to help balance business and customer relationships, as well as maintaining a grasp on the latest auto trends and customer’s needs and demands.
Partner – Chris Wisniewski, Nick’s older brother, has always been a part of the family business as well. Once he obtained his driver’s license, he was also assisting in vehicle transportation across the state and large public and private auctions. After graduating from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s H.S. in 1998, Chris chose to continue on with his education at Wayne State University and graduated in December 2002 with a Communications/Public Relations degree and Minor in Public Speaking. In the spring of 2003, he was offered a job with Coca-Cola Enterprises as an Account Manager and specialized in business to business sales in a few districts in Michigan. In July of 2005, he joined Wells Fargo & Company, found success early and became one of the top sales producers and production managers in the nation. He was promoted five times within the firm and was directly involved in helping to build and develop loan production offices across the company. In 2010, his division was laid off, but a greater opportunity now arose for him at Wise Auto & Truck. In 2011, he teamed back up with the family and is now looking to share his knowledge and skill set with the family business. With 8 years of Corporate America under his belt; specifically consumer finance and sales/marketing, it appears this is a “win/win” for the family and Wise Auto & Truck’s business model.
